jacobsHack! is the student hackathon at Jacobs Univerisity Bremen, an international university in Germany that is home to people from 110 different nations. In the spirit of our university we are trying to create one a diverse hackathon experience on our beautiful campus. On top of that we are happy to be this seasons opening hackathon for the European Major League Hacking Fall season.

Eligibility

  • Participants: Students (over 18 years in age) and people who graduated from university within the last year
  • Team Size: Maximum team size is 4 people. You don't have to have a team upon arrival.

Requirements

  • Only projects that have been coded within the 24 hours of the competition are eligiable for submission and judging.
  • There is no general theme / topic that you have to hack on.

    How innovative / new is your idea. Are you just the next generic social app or are you creating something groundbreaking new?
  • Technical Difficulty
    How difficult was this hack to be implemented. Is it just a simple website or are you solving a technical problem that nobody ever solved?
  • Design / UX
    How is the design and the user experience of the hack. How polished does the project appear? Does it show issues?
  • Usefulness
    Is it a useful hack? How wide are the applications? Is it just something that helps you or will more people use it?
  • Presentation
    How well is the presentation during the fair by the team.
